Announcing Peaceful Present, Future Flourish: 4-Month Mindset and
Mental Wellness Program for High-Achieving Young Adult Women and Their Mothers
Do you ever feel like you're constantly racing to the finish line -
only to arrive, and come up with a new finish line to hurry to?
And on your way, you might be so afraid to take your foot off the gas for a second.
Because if you do, you might be late... or everything you've worked for will fall apart...
I promise you this - Peaceful Present, Future Flourish is the program you have time for.
Why? Because it's possible to be a high achiever and live a more balanced life.
Oh yeah - and it's a really mental-health positive way to reconnect as mom and daughter.
This program is expertly curated to foster more connection and mindfulness in your day to day life. There's no pressure to get your daughter on board, but being exposed to the content in this program will help you support her - and yourself! in a positive way.
You might feel out of the loop with each other - but you know you need to escape this vicious high-achieving feedback loop.
High Achievement often runs in families. Being a high-achiever is not a bad thing! But it can lead to
constant pressure for approval and to be “perfect” – even when you know that there is no perfect.
As proud as you are of your daughter, and you should be, it's so hard to watch someone so
extraordinary struggle with self-worth despite achieving amazing things. The race to
her next goal is filled with landmines of "not good enough" feelings which might manifest
as anxiety, depression, isolation, or sleepless nights.
She is worth so much MORE than her achievements! So are you.
You’re a mother of a high-achieving young adult daughter who struggles with stress, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm.
You’ve noticed your daughter’s panic attacks, emotional breakdowns, or difficulty balancing academic and/or work demands with her personal well-being.
You’re worried about her future and want to ensure she has the tools to manage adulthood and real-life responsibilities.
You want to foster a closer, more supportive relationship with your daughter, where both of you understand and appreciate each other’s experiences.
Engaging Audio Curriculum: You and your daughter will independently and privately have access to a series of audio sessions of the Prioritize P.E.A.C.E. Method that you can listen to anytime, anywhere—designed to feel like a favorite podcast, but filled with practical, research-based strategies for managing stress and anxiety. They come with a workbook and will be available on video, too!
Personalized Coaching: Over the course of four months, your daughter will participate in two one-on-one coaching calls per month. These sessions are tailored to her specific challenges and goals, ensuring she gets the support she needs. Each session is followed by a detailed summary, actionable steps, and additional resources provided in a Google Doc.
Prioritize P.E.A.C.E. Method Curriculum: Both you and your daughter will gain access to the PEACE curriculum, a five-step brain-based methodology developed by Dr. Peggy DeLong. This curriculum offers simple, doable techniques to foster a positive mindset, emotional stability, and resilience, helping you both navigate daily challenges with confidence.
Ongoing Support: To ensure continued progress, you can choose to upgrade the program to include one additional coaching call per month for you, the mother. Additionally, you can opt for ongoing text support, providing both you and your daughter with access to guidance and reassurance between calls.
A positive mindset is essential for mental health and well-being, as our thoughts influence our feelings and actions. While positive thinkers can generate positive thoughts, many overlook and ignore their negative thoughts and painful emotions. This is known as “toxic positivity,” and is not healthy. Fostering a healthy positive mindset involves four components: 1) addressing and challenging negative thoughts, 2) cultivating positive thinking, 3) feeling and processing painful emotions, and 4) developing personalized strategies for generating positive moods.
The mind and body are interconnected, making exercise vital for well-being. Physical activity alleviates symptoms of depression and anxiety and helps process painful emotions. However, many dismiss the power of simple movements, believing exercise must be intense to be effective. Research shows that even basic activities like walking and stretching significantly enhance mental health, particularly when done in nature, such as near water or trees.
Setting and working toward goals provides meaning and purpose, direction and fulfilment. However, high-achievers can easily develop an unhealthy relationship with achieving. Achievements need not be grand. In fact, there’s more opportunity for feeling good when goals are intentionally kept simple, and when “smaller” goals are acknowledged and celebrated. Focusing on the smaller goals along the way also helps to enjoy the journey, rather than just the outcome, leading to more happiness in life. High-achievers are also happiest when achievement is not tied to self-worth.
The quality of our relationships is the strongest predictor of happiness. Cultivating relationships takes intention, yet many neglect this aspect of life, leading to loneliness. In an era where technology facilitates connections, people often feel more isolated. Nurturing existing relationships and making new ones doesn't require extensive time or energy; it simply demands intentionality in every interaction.
Empathy toward others begins with self-understanding and self-compassion. Without self-compassion, we struggle to support others genuinely. By caring for ourselves first, we become more fulfilled and capable of giving authentically to others. Prioritizing self-care enhances our ability to connect with and support those around us.
